Elephant Bookstore

At 31 Tsar Shishman Street, on the liveliest bookshop street Sofia has, Elephant Bookstore keeps a room where fiction and poetry share shelves with comics and graphic novels, art books with children’s stories, psychology with magazines from abroad.

Around the books gathers everything a good bookshop accumulates: greeting cards, puzzles, board games, notebooks, mugs, candles, posters, figurines — the small wonders people come in for one of and leave with three.

Whole licensed worlds live here too — Harry Potter, DC and Marvel, Disney, The Witcher, the Moomins, Star Wars — and the shop is the official Bulgarian distributor for international makers from Captain Fawcett to the New York Puzzle Company.

The doors are open every day of the year, ten in the morning to ten at night, and the online store carries it all across Bulgaria — within one or two working days, gift-wrapped free if you ask.
